Wilmington Manor Elementary School

The focus of our February 28th meeting will be to inform parents/guardians about the upcoming DSTP.

The meeting will begin at 7:00PM in the school Library.

All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Delaware’s Departments of Technology and Education have launced a new voice activation system which provides school closing and other school status information via telephone.

The telephone number is toll free (877) 831-7215.  At the prompt just say “Wilmington Manor Elementary”.

PTA meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 28th at 7:00 in the school Library.  A special PTA presentation will take place.

DSTP schedule:

Wednesday, March 5th and Thursday March 6th – students in grades 2 – 5 will take the mathematics portions of the test.

Monday, March 10th and Tuesday, March 11th – students in grades 2 – 5 will take the reading portions of the test

Thursday, March 13th and Friday, March 14th – students in grade 3 – 5 will take the writing portions of the test

The February edition of The Flash went home last week.  If you did not receive a copy, extras are available upon request in the main office.

All students in grades 3-5 will be taking a short survey this week during  Library time.  In addition, a paper copy of a similar survey will be sent home for parents to fill out.  This home survey is for parents/guardians of students in any grade.  These surveys are confidential.  Your feedback is valuable to us and very much appreciated.    The home survey can also be taken on line at www.delawarepbs.org   

If you choose to complete the paper version that is being sent home this week, please send it back to school by February 25th.
