Wilmington Manor Elementary School

The PTA is selling Lolli-grams.  Send your friends, teachers, anyone in the school a short message with a lollipop attached.  They are being sold for $1.00 each.  There is a form to fill out that can be found in the main office.  The form is due by February 8th.  The lolli-grams will be devivered February 14th.

We have our monthly Manor Excellence Assemblies scheduled for this Friday, February 1st.

Grades:  K, 1, and 2 are scheduled for 9:15 AM

Grades 3, 4, and 5 are scheduled for 1:30 PM

Students who had perfect attendance and/or made the honor roll for the second marking period will be recognized in addition to the January students of the month.

The Wilmington Manor ’07-’08 Yearbook is now available to preorder for a May delivery date. Buy now for just $13.00! The cost will rise to $15.00 upon delivery.       There are several options for purchasing a yearbook: 

• Send in a check (written out to Wilmington Manor) for $13.00 or $13.00 cash in an envelope clearly marked “Yearbook.” Order forms will go home soon.  Fill out the order form.  A receipt of your purchase will be sent home.

• Purchase a yearbook online at www.jostens.com

The second marking period ended today.  Report cards will be mailed home on Friday, January 18th.

Also on January 18th, the PTA is hosting its Winter Wonderland after school celebration.  It will be in our school cafeteria starting at 6:30 PM and going until 8:30.  Admission is $3.00.  Food and drinks will be sold as well.  If you are available to assist in any way, please contact our PTA president at bwilliams@colonial.k12.de.us

Be on the lookout for the January edition of The Flash, our monthly school newsletter.  If your child does not bring one home, please call the office and request a second copy be sent home with him/her.  Extra copies are also available to be picked up in the main office as well.

Welcome back to school.  We hope that everyone had a restful winter break. 

The 2nd marking period ends January 11th.  Report cards will be mailed home January 18th.
